The Future of Tik Tok

It is the year 2030. How has Tik Tok changed the world? How has our generation changed along with it?

In this four week class we will create stories for what a radical future for Tik Tok as a global platform for Creators as change agents at new intersections of culture, entertainment, business, learning, mental health, politics, and social change.

The centerpiece of our class is a Design Challenge where small teams will create scenarios that bring to life how Tik Tok and society might be different in the future.

The Design Challenge will depend on class interests and might include:

• Moving Beyond the Phone
  How Tik Tok experiences move beyond the phone and get embedded inside homes, playgrounds, schools, workplaces, et al.

• Health & Wellness
  How Tik Tok Creators work inside hospitals, schools, senior living communities, daycares, playgrounds, et al.

• The Creator Rebellion
  How Creators integrate decentralized technologies into Tik Tok using crypto-based social money and blockchain technology.

• Politics & Meme Culture Wars
  Radical times ahead with Tik Tok at the center of America’s Meme Culture Wars and the 2028 Election.

• Tik Tok Edutainment Empire
  Tik Tok dominates educational-entertainment experiences for a whole generation.

By the end of this class, we will learn how to synthesize emerging trends and issues shaping society into stories of transformation.
