4 Week Class (Sessions: Oct; Nov-Dec; Dec-Jan)

It is 2030: How has Tik Tok changed the world?
In this four week course we will create stories that imagine the future for Tik Tok as a global platform for Creators. We will learn about emerging trends in science, technology, and business likely to influence opportunities (and constraints) for Tik Tok Creators. We will imagine how Tik Tok and ourselves might change at new intersections of culture, entertainment, politics, business, learning, mental health, and social change.

The Future of Creative Careers

Grades 9 - 12
4 Week Class (Sessions: Oct; Nov-Dec; Dec-Jan)

It is 2030: How have creative professionals transformed our world?
This four week course is designed for young people interested in a life and career based in creativity (designers, artists, musicians, etc). We will learn about trends shaping demand and skills ideal for the new Creative Economy. We will introduce new technology tools that could transform how we create and collaborate (e.g. AI, GPT-3, Blockchain, GANs/Deepfakes). Partners will create futuristic stories around novel uses of creativity in specific industries and everyday life. Each person will develop personal roadmaps for three career paths and create fictional biography stories of their future selves in the 2030s.

The Future of Computer Vision

Grades 9 - 12
4 Week Class (Sessions: Oct; Nov-Dec; Dec-Jan)

It is 2030: How is our world transformed by cameras that can see and understand the world?
Complex sight emerged 500 million years ago when trilobites became the first creatures to have complex eyes. Their ability to see and understand the world transformed all life in ancient oceans.

Today, we are on the verge of combining AI and computer cameras to see and understand the world.

This four week course will dive deep into one of the most fascinating technologies in our world today - computer vision.

Our focus will be on next generation and novel applications of computer vision that empower individuals and societies to learn and grow, heal the planet, and discover new insights about ourselves and the world.

Young people will create fictional companies that hope to bring new computer-vision based solutions into the world.

Entrepreneurs Club

Grades 9 - 12
16 Week Class (Oct - Feb)

This semester long club meets weekly and continues the conversation online. We will learn about startups, small businesses and non-profits that are innovating at the intersections of big change. We will learn how to assess opportunities and practice the craft of pitching ideas about our own entrepreneurial dreams and ventures.
